Tall Ship Races 2026 Morgenster underway to Stavanger

Morgenster Battles Towards Stavanger in the Tall Ships Races 2026

The Tall Ships Races 2026 are not yet reaching their exciting conclusion, and the Tall Ship Morgenster is currently racing along the east coast of England on the third leg towards Stavanger, Norway.

After hundreds of nautical miles, changing weather systems, tactical decisions, and countless sail changes, the competition remains incredibly close. Strong winds and lively seas have tested every vessel, demanding skill, teamwork, and determination from both crew and trainees. As the latest photos show, Morgenster is doing exactly what she was built for.  Driving through the waves under a full press of sail.

Despite fierce competition from some of Europe’s fastest Class A tall ships, Morgenster remains in an excellent position in the overall rankings. Every mile sailed and every tactical decision could make the difference as the fleet approaches the Norwegian coast.

For everyone on board, the race is about much more than winning. It is about learning traditional seamanship, working together as one crew, and experiencing life under sail on one of the world’s most beautiful square-rigged ships. Friendships are forged, confidence grows, and every watch brings a new challenge.
