William the Conqueror prepared and started his invasion of England in tiny gap of the Normandy chalky cliffs.
In 2022 they organize a huge maritime event in the same weekend that you embark. So it will be quite busy and interesting if you like traditional sailing vessels.
You meet the crew and fellow travelers on board. After a decent meal and some instructions most of you will have a look at the busy port.
Next morning we leave the port, set sail and work ourselves to Dover where we say good bye to the Channel with its bright water.
Over the north Sea we sail along between large wind farm and dense traffic, most motor vessels. But the closer we get to Esbjerg we may meet more sailing vessels, some of them the largest of the world, making their way to the start of this years Tall Ship Races in Esbjerg.
In de harbor of Esbjerg the fleet of sailing vessels is growing and the crew are welcomed by the town. We enjoy excursions, sport events and parties for several days before we disembark on Saturday morning 9 July.
