When the time arrives, the crew warmly welcomes you on board, leading you to your cozy cabin. A welcome drink in hand, you’ll meet your fellow adventurers and the crew, who are ready to guide you through every step of this journey. The captain will share exciting details of the voyage and key safety information, ensuring your peace of mind. From learning about life-saving equipment to taking a guided tour of the ship, every detail is in place to make you feel at home. Sailing, Participate

On board the Morgenster, you’re not just a spectator—you’re part of the crew. Feel the thrill of actively participating in the art of traditional sailing, as you hoist the sails, steer the ship, and track the ship’s position on the map every hour. Our experienced crew is here to guide you, offering you the unique opportunity to learn and engage in every aspect of sailing.

Fancy a challenge? You can even climb the rig! Don’t worry; the crew will provide full climbing instructions, along with a harness and safety hooks to ensure your safety. Conquer your fears and embrace the exhilaration of seeing the world from the top of the rig, knowing you’ve mastered one of the most thrilling parts of life at sea. We sail day and night, operating in three watches:

Red Watch: 08:00-12:00 / 20:00-24:00
White Watch: 12:00-16:00 / 00:00-04:00
Blue Watch: 16:00-20:00 / 04:00-08:00

Provision on Board

As the gong for the evening meal sounds, everyone eagerly gathers in the day room for a delightful feast. Our cook prepares three satisfying meals a day, with a special snack at 16:00 to keep you fueled for your adventures. During night sails, you’ll even enjoy toasted sandwiches, adding to the sense of camaraderie on board.

At each shore visit, the cook returns with a bounty of fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring every meal is as fresh as it is flavorful. With freezers stocked with quality meats and the potential for catching fish along the way, the cook will always have something delicious to surprise you with. Meals are more than just nourishment—they’re part of the experience that brings the crew and guests together. Join us and savor the flavors of a truly authentic sailing adventure.

Communication and Seasickness

With a crew fluent in Dutch, German, English, and French, we ensure smooth communication with guests from all around the world. Seasickness is a common concern for some, but don’t worry, seasickness pills taken an hour before departure work wonders. Avoid alcohol the night before and skip the coffee and carbonated drinks on departure day to ensure a smooth start to your adventure.

For emergency communication with home, our strong radio stations keep us connected with the Coast Guard at all times. While phone and internet access are available near the coast, embracing life at sea means embracing moments of disconnect from the digital world, a rare opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the experience.
