Morgenster

From Morbihan to Falmouth – Morgenster in Festival Flow

Belle Île, Breton Cheers & a Festival Like No Other

The Tall Ship Morgenster has just wrapped up a joyful and salt-sprayed week at the iconic Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan. A true highlight of our summer calendar. Alongside hundreds of traditional and classic boats, Morgenster took center stage as one of the proud square-riggers gracing the inner gulf and anchoring in the scenic harbors of southern Brittany.

In the official video recap by the event organizers, you’ll spot Morgenster’s elegant sails cutting through the golden light twice, in fact a proof of just how photogenic she is when in her element. From spontaneous deck tours to horns echoing across the water, this festival was a reminder of why we sail: connection, tradition, and community.

From Brest to the English Coast. Wind, Stops & Seabirds

After waving goodbye to Brittany (and perhaps stocking up on a few croissants for the watch crew), we set our course westward. Our route included a friendly pause in Brest, where sea and sailor meet with open arms. With fair winds and a sharp rig, Morgenster cut through the Atlantic swell like a clipper from the old tales.

The conditions were favorable, the crew in fine spirits, and the dolphins didn’t disappoint either. We crossed to Falmouth with the grace only a seasoned tall ship can offer. White sails full, hull steady, and salt on the smiles of everyone aboard.

Now Docked at Falmouth Classics, Come See Us!

We’ve now arrived in time for the celebrated Falmouth Classics A gathering of vintage elegance, maritime music, and friendly competition. Morgenster, with her freshly painted lines and proud rig, fits right in among the wooden hulls and polished brass.

The sails stretched wide in the Gulf of Morbihan. A festival in motion.

Visitors and fellow sailors alike are welcome to stop by, admire the details, and perhaps dream of joining us on a future voyage. Because once you’ve stood on her deck, heard the rig creak in rhythm with the sea, and watched the sun dip behind the sails (like in the photos above), you’ll know why Morgenster isn’t just a ship, she’s a feeling.

Morgenster shines at Semaine du Golfe du Morbihan and continues her summer voyage to Falmouth Classics with full sails and stops along the way.
