Step aboard the Tall Ship Morgenster for the second leg of the Tall Ships Races 2026, sailing from Harlingen (the Netherlands) to Antwerp (Belgium). This 8-day voyage is your chance to be part of an international sailing event that brings together hundreds of young people, dozens of magnificent tall ships, and one shared spirit of adventure.

Race South Feel the Wind, Join the Crew

The excitement begins in Harlingen, where the fleet gathers before the race start. The sails rise, horns sound, and the tall ships charge south through the North Sea. A stunning sight of canvas, courage, and teamwork.

You’ll be part of the crew, not a passenger. Alongside your shipmates, you’ll learn to set the sails, steer the ship, and stand watch day and night. Under the guidance of the professional crew, you’ll discover the joy (and challenge!) of sailing a real square-rigged ship.

No experience? No problem. The Tall Ships Races are designed especially for young people aged 16 to 30. All you need is enthusiasm, teamwork, and an open mind.

Life at Sea. Friendship and Challenge

At sea, you’ll find your rhythm: the watch schedule, the teamwork, the sea breeze, and the laughter shared on deck. You’ll learn practical sailing skills, but also life skills, communication, confidence, and the power of cooperation.

Each day brings something new: glowing sunsets, powerful winds, or a peaceful dawn with the ship gliding across the waves. By the time we reach Belgium, you’ll have grown in more ways than one.

Arrival in Antwerp. A Grand Celebration

After the race, the ships arrive in Antwerp, where the harbor transforms into a festival of sails, music, and celebration. You’ll join the crew parade, meet sailors from around the world, and share in the excitement of this incredible international event.

Arriving as part of the racing fleet gives you a feeling like no other. Pride, joy, and a sense of belonging to something bigger than yourself.
