Morgenster Reaches Aberdeen. Leading the Dutch Fleet in Tall Ships Races 2025
The tall ship Morgenster has once again shown her class and spirit, proudly sailing into Aberdeen after completing the second leg of the Tall Ships Races 2025. This leg, starting in the bustling port of Le Havre, began under promising skies with strong winds and high expectations.

With her sails full and crew energized, the Morgenster joined a majestic parade of tall ships as they set course across the English Channel. The race started strong, and spirits were high as the Morgenster maintained an excellent position among the international fleet.

However, the wind gods had other plans. In the final 24 hours of the race, the wind dropped to near stillness. Many ships struggled in the calm, and Morgenster, like others, had to fight for every nautical mile. Despite these challenging conditions, she delivered a strong finish: First among all Dutch vessels!
This achievement is a testament not only to her elegant rig and seaworthy design but also to the dedication of her crew and trainees. Sailing Morgenster isn’t just about speed, it’s about teamwork, resilience, and connection with the elements.
As we prepare for the next leg to Kristiansand, Norway, we welcome new hands on deck and invite you to join this unforgettable experience. Be part of the Morgenster story, where tradition meets adventure.
