The adventure has officially begun! The tall ship Morgenster arrived with pride and full sail in the port of Le Havre, France, marking the start of the much-anticipated Tall Ships Races 2025. The harbor greeted us with color, sound, and excitement as the fleet gathered for the start of this prestigious event, organized by Sail Training International.
With energy on deck and sails set high, Morgenster launched into the first short leg of the race, sailing from Le Havre to Dunkerque. The crew, a mix of experienced sailors and passionate trainees, worked closely together, maneuvering through shifting winds and currents. Their effort paid off: Morgenster proudly finished 4th in Class A. A strong start to what promises to be an unforgettable season.
These races are not just a display of sailing prowess, but of teamwork, adventure, and personal growth. A beginning as strong like this, makes this journey easier for the crew and trainees to stay engaged and motivated throughout the campaign. It’s also an example of social proof, our visible success encourages others to join future legs of the journey.
Now moored in Dunkerque and recharged from the port festivities, the crew is preparing to set sail for Aberdeen in the next leg of the race. This longer stretch will put seamanship to the test again and offer plenty of opportunity to form lasting friendships and collect ocean-bound memories.
If you’ve ever dreamed of joining a tall ship like Morgenster, now is the time. Our sails are set, the voyage is underway, and the ocean is calling. Check out our full summer adventure schedule.
